The recent attention the Asian Carp is getting reminds me of the great unsolved debates over invasive species carried in ballast water.
We had many foolish arguments among our government representatives and scientists. To this day many of the old lies still are circulated with the name of a new species attached.
This huge freshwater system is reasonably well understood by scientists but science and commerce often butt heads without productive results.
